  • Booster Club Funds/Treasurer’s Report
    • Previous treasurer, Jay Kelley, presented a budget overview as well formally presented at previous meeting. The current budget contains approximately $8,100; general parent club funds are used for scholarships for players in need (uniforms, player fee, etc), college scholarships for Senior players who qualify, practice uniform subsidy, coaches subsidies and uniform needs, special team meals, housing/food subsidy for State play-off expenses, team equipment needs. Fundraising has primarily come from the Big Foot Parking Lot venture, concessions and team poster.
    • Presiding President, Bonny Berry, presented a proposal regarding the future of the BPPSC account funds. It is as follows:
    • The 2009 soccer season will find us with 2 Snohomish High School soccer teams. I propose that the current booster club at SHS retain enough money from what is currently in the account or with incoming funds from the summer Big Foot parking lot campaign to cover scholarships for the projected 2009 graduating seniors. As of April 1, 2009, all remaining funds will then be divided equally between the Boys Panther Parents Soccer Club and a new booster club formed at Glacier Peak High School for the support of the boys’ soccer program. The reason behind this is clear; we have currently worked together over the years and the money currently in the account should benefit both groups of players.
    • Proposal was seconded and approval unanimously by the club.
    • Tie-up: Julie Johnson and Jay Kelley shall coordinate the formal paperwork/procedures needed for the club bank account. Linda Kautz will copy and distribute sign-ups to appropriate coordinators.
    • Fred Chittenden will post items on the website when given to him.
  • Meeting adjourned 8:45 pm
    • Submitted — Linda Kautz, Secretary
